WHAT ARE COMBINED MESSAGE AREAS?
Many experienced users read certain message areas every time
they log onto the BBS. They prefer to define the areas they want to
read, and read the messages consecutively regardless of the area. The
"Combined" message commands allow this. By configuring your own choices
of message areas (with the <!> command), you can select the five or ten
(or 25 or 50...) message areas you want to read each time you log on.
In order to make this work effectively, you should first turn OFF all
message areas, and then turn ON only those that interest you. Then, by
going to the Combined Message Menu, you can <R>ead messages in those
areas at each logon, and make sure you don't forget any. You can still
read messages in additional areas using the regular message commands,
and you can add or delete areas at any time.
This area is NOT recommended for novice users!
